RIP
Around 1992, I was contacted by the creators of the RIPscrip(t) protocol. They had already “ripped” their own MajorBBS system and wanted to do the same with Synchronet. I met with them, gave them a tour of how the Synchronet menuing system worked. After a week or so, they gave me the files (icons and RIP files) to include in Synchronet distributions.
So the Digital Dynamics crew got excited about RIP and the possibilities for modernizing the user interfaces of BBS's everywhere. That never really transpired. But it was a good platform for artists who could adapt to RIP's vector/EGA-centric format.
