====== Install NTVDMx64 ======

[[https://github.com/leecher1337/ntvdmx64|NTVDMx64]] makes it possible to run old DOS applications under 64-bit Windows 7 and Windows 10.

Note: There have been [[https://github.com/leecher1337/ntvdmx64/issues/240|observed and reported issues]] with Windows 11 installations of NTVDMx64.

  - Download [[https://mendelson.org/ntvdmx64-ccpu-fre_pw-leecher.7z]] - defeat security features/warnings in the OS or browser to download/save the file successsfully
  - Extract the contents of ''ntvdmx64*.7z'' using [[https://7-zip.org/|7zip]] or similar archive program that supports ''*.7z'' archive files ((archive password is leecher))
  - Run ''usa/install.bat'' from the extracted archive - defeat/bypass any security warnings from Windows

Alternatives to use of NTVDMx64 include running your BBS under a 32-bit Windows Virtual Machine (VM) as a guest OS within a Hypervisor (e.g. [[https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/virtualization/hyper-v-on-windows/quick-start
